London Hire to launch cycle awareness technology at NEC Show

As with any ever changing industry, London Hire have always looked to not only invest in the latest technology available, they have also looked to see what areas they can improve safety and awareness within vehicles and at this year’s Euro Bus Expo 2014 at the NEC in Birmingham, an example of this is highlighted with one of the companies exhibition vehicles.

Visitors attending this years event, will be able to see the latest equipment available that the company has sourced to highlight the ever growing problem of area cycle awareness on our roads throughout the UK.

Featured on the E 80 stand at the 3 day event, supplied through Essex minibus builder Stanford Coachworks, London Hire will showcase a brand new Mercedes Sprinter van conversion, complete with this new adaption. The vehicle will feature not only x3 separate warning lights with cyclist logo, which flashes automatically when the left side indicator is used, the vehicle also emits a voice recognition, which clearly announces that the vehicle is turning left. This then gives any cyclist within the surrounding area, the advanced notice that the vehicle is changing its direction.

The Mercedes, which is fully wheelchair accessible, will also feature other safety equipment that London Hire are offering on their vehicles such as a full set of CT Space passenger seats, CCTV system with 4 cameras, Smoke alarm and both Rear reverse camera and sensors and rear interior LED mood lighting.
